Day
1
You
arrive at Satna by Shipra Express and after lunch, you proceed
to Khajuraho, where you stay overnight at Hotel Payal / Jhankar.
Day
2
The
temples of Khajuraho are India's unique gift to the world, built
by the Chandela kings in the 10th and 11th centuries AD. In the
morning, you see the Western group of temples and the museum and
in the afternoon the Southern and Eastern groups.
Day
3
You
leave Khajuraho for Orchha, arriving in time for lunch at our
palace hotel, Sheesh Mahal. The afternoon is spent sightseeing
in this beautiful medieval city of palaces and temples. Later,
you leave for Gwalior, where you arrive in time for the Son-et-Lumiere
show at the Gwalior Fort. Your stay overnight is at Hotel Tansen.

4
The
day is spent sightseeing in Gwalior. You visit the magnificent
Gwalior Fort, the tombs of Tansen and Ghous Mohammed, the museum
in Jai Vilas Palace and the newly built Sun Temple.

5
You
leave for Shivpuri where you visit the elegant chhatris or cenotaphs
of the Scindias. You also visit Bhadaiya Kund, a scenic spot noted
for its natural mineral spring. After lunch and a rest, there
is a refreshing visit to the Madhav National Park. Your overnight
stay is at the scenic Tourist Village.

6
You
leave after breakfast for Ujjain carrying your packed lunch which
you have at the Sarangpur rest house. Dinner is at Ujjain, where
you stay overnight at Hotel Shipra.
Day
7
After
breakfast, you leave for sightseeing in this renowned pilgrim
centre. The sacred river, Shipra, runs through this city of temples,
where learning flourishes to this day.

8
You
depart after breakfast for Indore, where you visit the unusual
Kanch Mandir, and the museum with its dazzling treasures. After
lunch at Apsara Restaurant, you carry on to Mandu, arriving in
time for a relaxed evening and stay overnight at the Tourist Cottages.
Day
9
Mandu,
the 'city of joy', is full of legends of love and glory, specially
those of Baz Bahadur and the beautiful Roopmati. In Mandu, you
visit several noteworthy palaces and pavilions.
Day
10
After
breakfast, you leave for Bhopal. Enroute, you have lunch at Apsara
restaurant in Indore. At Bhopal, you stay overnight at Hotel Palash.
Day
11
After
breakfast, you leave for Sanchi, ancient seat of Buddhist learning.
After lunch, you return to Bhopal and spend time sightseeing in
this fascinating city with its rich past and vibrant present.
Afterwards, you enjoy a cup of tea at our lakeside cafeteria Wind
& Waves, and take a pleasure boat ride on the Upper Lake. You
stay overnight again at Hotel Palash.
Day
12
You
leave for Pachmarhi after breakfast. Enroute, you visit Bhojpur
with its exquisite Shiva Temple and Bhimbetka where paintings
in over 500 caves depict the life of the pre - historic dwellers
in vivid, panoramic detail. Lunch is at Tourist Motel, Pipariya.
You arrive at Pachmarhi for a relaxed evening and stay overnight
at Holiday Homes.
Day
13
Pachmarhi
is surrounded by beautiful forests, full of breathtaking waterfalls,
serene pools and quiet glades. After a day's sightseeing you behold
the sunset at Dhoopgarh, the highest point in the Satpuras.
Day
14
After
breakfast, you leave for Jabalpur. Enroute you visit the famed
Marble Rocks at nearby Bhedaghat, a 3km gorge of glittering marble
cliffs on the Narmada. You stay overnight at Hotel Kalchuri.
Day
15
Your
morning is free. After lunch, you leave for Calcutta by Howrah
Mail after having enjoyed your 'magical fortnight'.
General
Terms and Conditions
- The
corporation reserves the right to cancel the tour or alter the
routes, mode of transport, type of accommodation etc. in circumstances
beyond its control.
- Tourists
travel at their own risk. The corporation does not accept any
liability or responsibility for any delay, damage, loss, etc,
either due to breakdown of services or accident, however caused.
- Seats/Berths
on trains will be reserved in 2nd class, unless otherwise specified
Tourists will be required to pay extra charges in case of increase
in train fare. They can also make their own reservations in
whatever class they like.
- In
the unlikely event of the Corporation having to cancel the tour
for reasons of force majeure, it will return in full the amount
paid by the client.
- The
Corporation does not bear any responsibility for medical treatment
(in case of illness) during the tour.
- The
authority of the tour escort is final while on tour.
Booking
/ Refund Conditions
- Full
payment is to be made at the time of booking. Payment is accepted
in cash or cheque (local) or demand draft.
- The
following deductions will be made if the booking is cancelled
by you :
- 15 days before departure: 10%
- Less than 15 days and up to 7 days before departure : 25%
- Less than 7 days or a "No Show" : 100%
Other
Important Informations
- Our
sightseeing programmes take in the most noteworthy sights in
each place. Sometimes local fairs and festivals or other happenings
compel us to alter the itinerary which should be regarded as
unavoidable adjustments of plans. If a particular monument or
complex is closed on the day of scheduled sightseeing, we try
to show it the next day, subject to availability of time.
- The
climate is pleasant in Madhya Pradesh from October to March,
getting quite cold from November to February when we suggest
you carry woolens as well. From April to September it is warm.
But always travel light carry only one suit case, weighting
no more than 20 kg and an overnight bag.
- The
tours can be joined at their respective first arrival point
in the State. However, this depends on vacancies and an advance
notice of at least 15 days is required.
