The Royal Camp Captures the luxurious nostalgia of a bygone age of the Maharaja's Safari and Shikar camps, combined with innovative design demonstrating many of the skills and crafts of Marwar. The camp consists of tents, each with verandah, bedroom and bathroom. There is a large dining tent serving the best of Rajasthani Cuisine and a large open reception tent seating areas. The campfire is the focal point for the evening entertainment programme with cocktails and rhytms of the Thar - music, dancing, magicians, puppet shows, jugglers, flaming torches and camel parades.

About Pushkar, Nagaur and Jaisalmer

The royal camp covers Pushkar Camel Fair, Nagaur Cattle Fair and Jaisalmer Desert Fair. The Pushkar Camel Fair takes place every October/November in the Hindu Lunar month of Kartika. The fair is characterised by spirited festivities of the pilgrims, camel races and livestock trading. Another cattle fair can be seen in Nagaur, a town that lies midway between Jodhpur, and Bikaner. The cattle fair takes place in the Late January and early February. The annual Jaisalmer desert festival takes place over three days between late January and mid February. Tourist find entertainment in camel races, folk music, dances and puppet shows.
